“This waffle maker is the bomb. I’ve had mine for almost a year now and am completely satisfied with it. It reaches operational heat in a couple of minutes and then cranks out the waffles. Once it has initially reached its operational temperature it quickly reheats (as in less than a minute) for the next waffle. This thing works so fast I wouldn’t hesitate to cook waffles for a dozen people or more. “I purchased the Chef’s Choice M840B Waffle maker for my husband for Christmas and now it is my favorite small kitchen appliance. Makes the best waffles ever, nice and crispy on outside and moist inside. The recovery time is almost nil so you can take one waffle out and immediately place a new batter in maker. For me, the secret to the batter (store-bought or your own recipe)is an extra tablespoon sugar for crispiness. The batter should be thick and be sure to let it rest about 3 to 5 minutes after mixing. I use the Racheal Ray Lazy Ladle to measure the amount of batter for each waffle……just a little less than 1/2 cup. Can’t say enough about this little appliance. “
